Carving the Cards, Diving into the Childhood!

I’m blogging my #ColgateMagicalstories at BlogAdda in association with Colgate.

We all have a child in ourselves. It fades away with time. Recently, Colgate India introduced an incredible theme which can let your mind recollect your old memories (not so old). Yes, you will feel nostalgic if you complete the task they asked for.

It’s just the matter of doing it with fun. You have a scissor in your home, right? Well, then go on. In fact, I did it with my nephew Vivaan who is 9 years old. He solely took the charge to do it on his own. Combining the thoughts he expressed, here is something what he said to me while he was carving the cards.

“I managed to make it somehow and while I was cutting down the cards, I was automatically coming up with a fantasy, relating the characters and the ‘Fictional-Me’. I felt like I am the hero in the space, with all the planets and the sun accompanying me. I was immersed into the curves of the Saturn and the Sun wearing Goggles. Sun must feel so hot in itself. Haha.”

I felt glad and surprised after listening to this explanation. Really, he seemed to have enjoyed doing this puzzle. He also added, “I want to play more of this. Get me more of this.”

Many of us have an ”inner child” who has not been heard, seen, or treated in a healthy nurturing way. As a result, whether it is an inner child, adolescent, or younger adult, feelings of being ignored, abandoned, or not loved may be retained. In this digital age where smartphones have dominated our lives, we should do the silliest tangible but terrible thing. The memories of these feelings are carried into our adult life and often stored till the last cell of the brain decays.

We all love to see the hero doing action. In our fantasy, we see ourselves as them, saving the world from the enemies. Relating the most practical part of this fun activity, I realised that we are the notorious, and chilled human who doesn’t care for the society but himself/herself.

“Let us liberate ourselves from any form of control. Let us focus at the inner drum, where the rhythm aligns with that of our heart. The measure of responsibility, equals to the need for evolution. Just listen, the inner child, let it whisper in your ear.”
― Grigoris Deoudis

As one famous author has said, “Imagination is our inner-child and creativity, its playground.” When we let ourselves do the innermost thing, our conscience shows us the potential and vulnerabilities within us that eventually tells us about ‘Real Us’. Isn’t it strange? It so does.

Note- I am the jumping guy in the rectangle shaped card who is the leader of the solar system, beating Sun’s Hotness with my Warm Welcoming Style of Showing Gratitude to all the Shinning Stars of the Space.

“Do you ever plan to grow up, Vivaan?” I asked.

“Not if I can avoid it, no.”

The Making of Memories

Being humble is rarest thing these days. The mere knowledge of someone running the same race as us, gives is the notion that the person is our competitor. From that day on, we start thinking of all the possible ways by which we can let them down. That’s cunningness and not humbleness.

The Making of Memories/Soup for the Soul-We just pack our mind with the idea that we need to be better and better and that makes us be with knitted brows all the time. we never smile, we never thank the almighty for giving us enough but we only keep an eye on what others are doing and that our work should be better than them, rather it should be the best.

Even if someone is competing with you, as a human you should learn to stay humble. Because there’s nothing above humanity, if you let it die in you, you become hollow.

Making memories is what we’re doing since the day we start to memorize things.

 soup for the soul

We live and keep on moving on in life, leaving behind the past, the past which is packed with abundant memories.

While making such memories, we have people who were there to make that happen and with them, we share those moments in which we made those pleasurable memories.

People who were there with us, were there for a reason and they had to be the part of that very memory, no matter right now we talk to them or not.If we look back to memories, we live the past for a while and in the past if things were alright between you and those persons, then surely you should take that moment away from the present and value their presence. They were a part of those beautiful moments, they were smiling with us, they were enjoying with us, they might be the only reason who made you smile, and because of that, you still smile. So never seize their credibility in your good times, no matter how things have turned now!

Your achievements would crash to zero if you’re not a good person and you don’t have humanity in you.

Childhood-The Golden Phase

Childhood-The Golden Phase

Childhood-The Golden Phase-Our best memories lie way back in time, in our childhood. Down the memory lane, are buried such little things that bring a smile on our face every time they flash in our mind and they’ll never fail to do that.

Childhood is called the golden phase. Ever thought why?

childhood golden phases childhood golden phas

We were so happy, so content, curious yet innocent. We were at peace deep inside. And the reasons could be many. We were happy because we knew less and were curious to know a lot. The innocence inside us never let us think any bad, we transformed every bad thing and took out its good meanings instead. The phase was golden indeed because the smiles were never fake, they were whole-hearted and were the reflection of the peace that we had in our heart mind and soul.

We never wanted more and more, even if we did, that were the things that were within our approach, like candies, chocolates or toys. The needs were innocent and gave us much more happiness that even today’s new car, new house and promotions fail to give us.

We can’t go back in time, but the least we can do is, let’s be kids again, from the heart. Let’s not kill that innocence because everything else from that golden phase has been taken away already.

Let’s keep that peace for a while!

I Swing both ways

I Swing both ways-The Swing In the Park. All of us remember the nearest park from our home where we used to play in the evening. The swing, the rides and the green grass that served as our ground for playing the crazy made up games.

The swings were the most fascinating ones. While it went up, it felt that I have nothing to fear and I can soar high up to the sky. While coming down I felt that I am protected by the ground and whatever I do, the ground will bear my fall.

‘There is garden in every childhood an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer and the morning more fragrant than ever again’ ~Elizabeth Lawrence.

Childhood is the most beautiful of all life’s seasons.

The young days of life as a child are the ones which we cherish throughout our life.  The most beautiful season of all the season’s of life. But the problem is whatever you in your childhood days, you can’t remember it well, but others do. And when they narrate the story to you, you feel the happiness and freedom you once enjoyed.  You think about the responsibilities you have now and then again your childhood is gone. And whenever you see children playing on the ground you remember your childhood.

I miss my childhood. No homework, no stress, no wake up early, no exams, no problems in life.

My bicycle My Lamborghini-Remember those days when we used to study forcefully & get good marks only to get the ‘Best Ride of the World’

Yes, it is indeed the most wonderful moment when we see small kids learning bicycle-they rise. they fall. The greatest lessons of life is taught by the least complex way & we all have once said ” Hey, my cycle’s brake is more fun than yours, and man the Tyre has never punctured till now “. I don’t think that this lines can be even compared to ” 150 cc Engine, DTSI, 73 km/ liter”.

I know we all had one friend saying “Today my bicycle is in service, will you lift me in double?” And we said responded negatively because we were innocent, we felt more blessed when we have someone on our bicycle. Because there was no competition, there was only humanity

Close your eyes & rewind the tap recorder of your brain to go back in the  stormy wind when you rode the bicycle & came home feeling so tired but very pleased with the way you had fun with your Chaddy-Buddy friends  .

The injury you have when you had a fall must be still on our toes & hands because it doesn’t hurts……It gives a smile

Childhood-Crossing the Sea

Childhood-Crossing the Sea-The journey of life is very long and is full of twists and turns. We never know what point will cause our lives to change drastically. Its better to be prepared for all kinds of situations.

I was walking on water, for I didn’t know no one else could. I was not ready to walk on the roads, where everyone should’

Remember when we were little; we always wanted to grow up? Now we realize it was better being a kid.

All of us when young are eager to grow up and do things which our parents or elders prohibit us from doing. The eagerness is so much that we desire that the years just pass by like minutes. And it does happen, in terms that we do not realize how fast those childhood days pass by. Suddenly we realize we are no longer kids and now are grownups with many responsibilities and duties.  We start missing those times when we free, free from any kind of responsibilities, the time when we were not obliged to do anything, just play around and have fun. We miss those childhood days only after growing up. It is necessary to understand that the childhood days are the sweetest memories of life. Cherish every moment of it.

Milk and Mario

Milk and Mario

Milk and Mario-Every morning starts with annoying alarm tone. *Sigh* the new day starts and my cats are mewing for a bowl of milk. All they need is the milk bowl filled up to the brim.Milk and Mario And within a minute or two after pouring in milk it will vanish. Cute little kittens drink up all the milk at once. And then just purr, purr and purr.

bowl and cat

With such a great head start to the day the day goes ahead very well. Busy at work I never ever worry of my kittens being hungry as they had a full bowl of milk and therefore I am rest assured at work. I ponder whether there is an analogy to this situation. Try relating this to your daily life. Yes, you got it right, your mother plays the very same role. She makes sure that you get the right nutrition at the very beginning of the day so that your day goes with full energy. Now, I feel bad about always being annoyed with my mother when she used to force me to finish the glass of milk, all she wanted was to give me the right nutrition. I love you mummy, Thanks for all the glasses of milk which you forced me to drink.

Video games brought a revolution when they hit the market in the early 90’s. Only the 90’s kids will understand the madness behind those games and competing with their friends in the race to complete the levels first. The craziness went to whole new level and kids started spending more time playing video games then outdoor games.

Though the graphics and other gaming features have evolved over the period of time but still the craziness that went with Super Mario and Contra like games cannot be compared to any other video game; the kids of that decade will know of what I am talking about 😉

Don’t you dare to judge me/Soup for the Soul

Don’t you dare to judge me/Soup for the Soul-Everyday passing from the crossing signals but every time ignored those children knocking your window screen, begging for food. Went to temple, worship the god, but never give any child a glass of milk just because they are human not god. Yes that’s what we are doing! Ever asked any child who beg for food, who is he? Where are his parents? Oh yeah! Why we need to worry for all this, just because your child is safe, secure and healthy. There is a help line number 1098 which is open for 24 hours. I am not saying to support chain of begging, I am saying to support those childhood growing in a cage.

“Don’t look at me like this, just because you have pretty white skin!”

Humans prefer white skin above dark skin. Why? All the dark-colored people never chose to look dark. They are also created by the same one nurturer of this whole universe. What’s your problem even if I m comfortable with my color. Judge me for my work, for my character not for my color. I hope to live in a country or in world where I will be accepted as normal and not judged by my color. I am happy for the revolution & I am happy for Barack Obama.

I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
